About Eta Theta
Welcome to the Eta Theta Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity. We were first established as an Associate Chapter at the University of Maryland in 2001, and were officially chartered in 2003. Here at the Eta Theta Chapter, we pride ourselves on our strong brotherhood, academics, philanthropy, and community service. This spring, we are hosting our first annual Chi PhiveK around McKeldin Mall where we plan to raise $2,000 for our philanthropy: RAINN. We are thrilled to be #RunningForRAINN as they are the largest nonprofit anti-sexual assault organization in the U.S. RAINN created and operates many programs for sexual assault prevention, bystander education, and survivor assistance. They also run programs like the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE), the Department of Defense Safe Helpline, and partners in over 1,000 more sexual assault service providers across the country. In addition to the strong undergraduate brotherhood in our Chapter, we also have a strong alumni presence with hundreds of UMD alumni, and hundreds more from across the country who are members of our DC Chi Phi Club.
